About these articles
Who writes the articles on this site?
Angela, the founder, signs each one. They come from the questions homeowners ask her most: how a fiberglass shell handles clay, when gunite makes sense, how walls and patios work on a slope, and what to plan with a pool.
Where should I start if I am planning a pool?
Start with how you want to use the yard, then the lot: the slope, the soil, the sun and the access. Our posts on fiberglass in Brentwood, gunite in Franklin and whole-yard planning in Nashville each cover one part of that decision.
Do the articles cover permits?
Where it matters, yes, with links to the official source, such as Tennessee’s 811 rule and the state pool-alarm law. Each town page on this site also lists the local permit office and the barrier rules we know of there.
Can I ask a question that is not covered here?
Yes. Call Angela at (615) 497-3913 or use the form on any page; she answers questions about a project before anyone has signed anything. If the same question comes up often enough, it may become the next article here, written from the job that raised it.
